First Day

Happy First Day of School!!

Bennett's first day of his last year of preschool
Next year he will be at Mommy's school!

Kankakee and Chicago

In July we took a long weekend trip to Kankakee to visit my family.  We were able to see almost all of our family members that live there.  We also took a day trip to Chicago and had a great time.  Here's a few of my favorite pictures from our trip....

Hudson with my cousin, Leslie

To be honest, I'm not a fan of this picture, but Greg loves Hud's eyes in it, so I put it on here :-)

Bennett with his second cousin, Pierce (his new best bud!)

Picking apples a little before they were ripe... ;-)

Christian's Newborn Shoot

Talk about a sweet, sweet baby boy!!!  I was hired by this little guy's momma to take some newborn pictures of him and he was just the sweetest little angel imaginable during his session.  He slept through almost the whole thing and allowed (rookie) me to pose him, move him, put him in baskets, etc.  Meet Baby Christian, just under 2 weeks old in these photos...

Chase and Cole 3 Month Shoot

I met Krista last fall when Bennett and her son were both taking soccer classes at Vetta.  We sat on the bleachers together during the session and got to know each other while our sons played soccer.  When I first met Krista I found out she was pregnant with identical twins.  A couple weeks later, she updated me that they were boys!  Another week or two later she updated me that the doctor had discovered that one of the boys had a hole in his heart.  I prayed for Krista and this sweet baby.  The next week or two, she found just how identical they were:  the doctor discovered that BOTH boys had holes in their hearts.  Prayers continued...
Both beautiful boys, Chase and Cole were born in April.  Because of their health issues, Krista was not able to get the typical "newborn" photos.  However, three months later when both boys were home and doing well, she had me come over to do a photo shoot with them.   I felt so honored to have been invited over for this important task!
I quickly learned that taking 3 month pictures is more difficult than newborn photos.  These little sweeties did not want to sleep and did not want to be happy at the same time.  I was still able to get some sweet individual pictures of them, and I'm excited to go back before the first one will get his surgery to hopefully get some more good ones of them both!

Maggie's Newborn Shoot

Over the summer I took some newborn pictures of Baby Maggie.  She was 10 days old in these pictures.  Her mommy, Katie, has been one of my best friends for almost 10 years now.  Maggie was such a sweet, sweet, sleepy little girl.  She was the first newborn shoot that I have ever done and she made it so much fun for me!  It will be fun to watch her grow up and become a cute little girl!  Thanks, Katie, for this fun opportunity to photograph your precious Baby Maggie.
